Sasha John has been involved in the translation of medical technologies for the last 20-ish years. His research has spanned areas such as: automated/objective neurophysiological assessment of frequency specific hearing in the elderly and infants (leading to the FDA approved Multiple Auditory Steady-State Response –MASTER instrument distributed internationally by Natus to thousands of hearing clinics), QEEG/Pharmaco-EEG assessment of novel compounds (Rhône-Poulenc/Sanofi), intracardiac ischemia monitoring (Angel Medical Systems), and wireless charging of implanted medical devices (Witricity). Sasha obtained his MSc in Psychiatry (McGill) and his PhD in Medical Science (University of Toronto). He holds an Adjunct Scientist position at Rotman Research Institute and is cross-appointed at the Institute for Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. He is an inventor on over 60 issued patents and has lectured on commercialization of medical technology since 2007.
