Dr. Krista Whitney, MScOT, MD, FRCPC
Dr. Whitney is a Geriatrician at Bruyere Memory Program, Bruyère Continuing Care. She holds appointments as a Lecturer, Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics, at the University of Ottawa. She is also an Investigator at Bruyère Research Institute. Her research focus is on dementia care, aging in place (how an older adult can remain at home for as long as possible), functional evaluation, technology, and interprofessional team-based care models. She completed Geriatric Medicine subspecialty training and Internal Medicine residency at the University of Ottawa, and medical school at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM). Prior to medical school, she completed a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Western University. She is a member of the AGE-WELL National Innovation Hub in Sensors and Analytics for Monitoring Mobility and Memory.
