Dr. Park received the B.A.Sc. degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada, in 1996, and the M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 1999 and 2003, respectively, all in mechanical engineering. He was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Victoria, Victoria, BC, Canada, from 2003 to 2008. He is currently a Professor with the School of Mechatronic Systems Engineering, Simon Fraser University, Surrey, BC, Canada, where he is also the Director of the Biomechatronic Systems Laboratory. His current research interests include wearable technologies, biomechatronics and biomedical technologies for life sciences, rehabilitation and medicine, and mechatronics applied to next generation vehicular, robotic, and space systems. He has authored or co-authored over 100 journal and conference papers in these areas. He is also an Associate Dean of Faculty of Applied Sciences and an Associate Member of Faculty Health Sciences.
