Realtime SQL hybrid ORMImplemented a realtime and SQL hybrid ORM for WP 3.3.
For current smart home environment, there is some problems of realtime data management: if choose to use SQL to store data, which is what WP 3.3 currently used, we have to scan through all data in SQL for every fixed amount of time, which have a low efficiency read time, huge traffic loads on database, and can not capture the states changes in realtime. But if the developers choose to use a realtime database (like Firebase), it is hard to setup good data structure, and has really slow query speed each iterations. We implemented a hybrid solution using SQL for holding integrity information, and realtime for adapt listener patterns, that sacrifices a little bit write speed to tradeoff query speed and easy management of realtime data.3.3 DIY-AIDE University of Waterloo | Product | 2017-03-06
Realtime DrawpadImplemented realtime drawpad, targeted on easy use for caregivers/elders to specify floorplan to tech developers, in order to help them to locate solution of problems, and setup smart home environment.3.3 DIY-AIDE University of Waterloo | Product | 2017-01-11
