Amanda Jenkins is the Community Engagement Manager at AGE-WELL NCE. Her responsibilities include ensuring the active and meaningful involvement of community stakeholders in all activities and levels of the network and facilitating opportunities for older adults and caregivers to apply their lived experience to co-create network solutions. She is also the Research Coordinator of OA-INVOLVE 2, a project that establishes models of best practice for the active involvement of older adults in aging and technology projects to support technology development that is trans-disciplinary and ‘fit for purpose’ for improving the independence, health, wellbeing and quality of life of older adults. She holds a PhD in Applied Social Psychology from the University of Guelph and is a proponent of engaging community members in research in meaningful ways throughout the research process.
